Uganda has stepped up its efforts to reach out to the people to be vaccinated against Covid-19. It is the latest in a series of one million six hundred thousand vaccines of donations from the United States. But while a number of Ugandans are still reluctant to register, the Minister of Public Health has decided to find them in a number of recreational facilities.
The minister said many people were refusing to go to clinics and hospitals to wait for the vaccine.
Uganda has so far received more than five million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine from the United States.
Beer houses have already been demolished in Uganda and in a speech on Wednesday, President Yoweri Museveni said the number would continue to be distributed until the number was given to those who wanted to vaccinate.
