Jay Polly was being held in Mageragere Prison on suspicion of drug possession. In the wee hours of the night he was sick, he was taken to the doctor but he immediately breathed his last.
According to Kigali Today, Jay Polly may have died of drug addiction.
These drugs are said to be what they do in secret where they mix a lot of things and turn out to be a powerful drug. Jay Polly, who shared the drug with two others, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Rwandan media reports, Jay Polly, whose real name is Tuyishime Joshua, fell at Muhima Hospital in Kigali where he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Jay Polly, 33, was arrested in April this year on suspicion of drug use. He was still on trial before he was acquitted or convicted.
His elder brother Maurice Uwera told a Buja Express reporter that the Rwandan prison and detention center had informed him of the death of his brother.
This entity does not comment on the value of Jay Polly’s death at Nyarugege Prison in Mageragere, Kigali.
The Buja Express has tried to speak to a spokesman for the group, but so far no one was able to respond to our calls.
Jay Polly is best known for his most popular songs such as ‘Akanyarirajisho’, ‘What You See’, ‘I’m Still Breathing’, ‘Deux fois deux’ and other popular songs he performed while in the ‘Tuff Gang’ group .
